The place where you have to check in and get the key is about 5 minutes away from the accommodation, and you have to go to the mall near there and check in there and then go back to the apartment, their office in the mall is also hard to find. It is hard to find and we asked several people to find it.
The problem is that if you want to check in after 9 o'clock, you won't be able to because their office is closed.
I recently had a disappointing experience with this rental agency in Milan. I had made a reservation for an apartment and arrived at 9:30 PM due to a flight delay, even though their closing time was at 9 PM. I called the agency to inform them of my delay and politely requested them to wait for me.
Unfortunately, the employee I spoke to displayed an unprecedented level of aggression towards me. Instead of understanding my situation, she responded with hostility and refused to wait for just an extra half-hour. Her lack of professionalism and empathy was truly disappointing.
Customer service should be about accommodating reasonable requests, especially when customers encounter unexpected delays. The way I was treated left a sour taste in my mouth and soured my entire experience with this agency.
I would caution anyone considering renting from this agency to be aware of their inflexibility and lack of customer-centric approach. There are many other rental agencies in Milan that are more understanding and professional in their dealings.
Overall, I cannot recommend this agency based on my experience, and I hope this review serves as a warning to potential customers.
Several defects with room. Eventually dealt with quickly but initial comms not dealt with. Access bizarre, 3 different keys, only 1 gate in whole compound can be used. Kitchen quite limited, no microwave, no coffee machine, no condiments etc. Good public transport options but no super within easy walking distance.
We had a really disappointing experience with the staff. I didn’t expect that in 2023 something like that can happen when the civilisation and hospitality should be a priority when you work in this domain.
We parked in the mall where we had to do the check-in and the woman from reception tooked us to walk to the apartment saying that is close. So, I had to carry my 1 month old baby in my arms, the sun was burning, 38 degrees, in the middle of the day, all the way that was about 500m…
When I told her that that is not ok making me walking in the sun with the baby she said she is doing this all the day around with every customer and I shouldn’t complain, not understanding it was very bad for the baby…she was really disrespectful
A NIGHTMARE in Milan
Following a lengthy check-in, which was totally cumbersome as we had to walk to a nearby mall to go to the reception, we were finally shown into the apartment which we had booked by one of the receptionists after over 30 minutes. The lights in the kitchen didn’t work and it soon became clear that the central air conditioning didn’t work either. Given that there was a heatwave, we requested stand fans. Unfortunately, this simple request was immediately rejected. After stating numerous times that she had no solution to this problem, the receptionist said that she would check whether they had an alternative apartment for us to stay in; though she insisted that it was unlikely as they were fully booked.
After making several calls, the receptionist took us to another apartment that suddenly became available. Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn’t work in this apartment either. The receptionist claimed that it might take the air conditioner several minutes to work. The air conditioner still didn’t work so the receptionist told us to get keys to another apartment. She promised us that we would be given a refund in the morning by the manager in the eventuality of a nonfunctioning air conditioner. Upon given the keys, we were assured that despite being smaller than the apartment we had booked, this third apartment would have a working air conditioner. Unlike precedent times, we were left to fumble through on our own in search for this apartment located blocks away.
The last apartment was a total downgrade from what we paid for. Small and crammed, with few power outlets and totally dated. Apart from the general depressing atmosphere of this apartment, the air conditioning did not turn on at all.We tried calling the reception to no avail as the reception had closed at 9 pm. After spending a sleepless night on uncomfortable beds in intolerable heat, we had to explain the issue again to a different receptionist the following morning given that the receptionist we had been dealing with was not there. This male receptionist told us that the manager would be at work in the afternoon and told us to return after 2 pm in order to get the refund. When we returned in the afternoon to speak to the manager, we were greeted by another two different receptionists. One of them, a blonde bespectacled woman who refused to tell us her name, took charge. She told us that the manager was on holiday and that if we had any issues, we must contact Booking.com. We told her that the receptionist, whom we had spoken to in the morning, said that the manager would be at work in the afternoon and so we insisted on speaking to the manager. The receptionist claimed that her colleague who was on the morning shift was still new at the job and that we were misinformed. She said only the manager could issue refunds and that the only way we could contact the manager was through booking.com.
Once we kept insisting to speak to the manager, the receptionist ordered us to sit down and wait till 9 o’clock when they would close as a way of getting rid of us and to show us that she was totally ignoring us. We insisted that this was totally unacceptable and unprofessional as there must be someone to shoulder responsibility. The receptionist started shouting at us, screaming that we wanted her to lose her job by asking her to call the manager while she was on holiday. She claimed that we should be grateful to be given an apartment to stay in and said that they tried to solve the issue by changing the apartment three times.
This rude and unprofessional receptionist persisted that we were wasting her time and repeatedly told us to sit down and wait till 9 pm. We insisted that we were not leaving without compensation for having our only night in Milan ruined. At that point she started shooing us away. Seeing that this receptionist was being totally unreasonable and impolite. To add insult to injury, while we were leaving, the receptionist kept saying ‘Bye, Bye!’ in a mocking and insulting tone.
My main review was not posted. I do not recommend this apartment, check in process was long and the place to check in is about 5 minute walk away from the main building. The apartment was hot, AC was not working, the shower room draining system is clogged. The kitchen does not have paper towels and the dish scrub provided was used and dirty. The worst is that there is no one available to take calls for any emergencies or questions after hours. I do not recommend this apartment.
They don't mention the 200e deposit anywhere. The check-in place is 500m away from the actual accomodation and the people at check-in are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Stay away from this place at all cost.
Overall it is a nice apartment. Big, well accessorized, very good location.
The only thing (and it was quite a big issue for us) is that there is no good heat in the apartment. The max temp is 22 degrees (which I don't think reaches it) and at night the rooms were very cold, our kids were freezing.
If you travel with kids in the cold months of the year, I do not recommend these apartments.
